Scalp Micropigmentation
What Is Scalp Micropigmentation?
A micropigmentation technique that deposits fine pigment dots into the scalp to replicate the look of hair follicles — used to camouflage thinning hair, scarring, or create the appearance of a closely shaved head.
Contraindications
This treatment may not be right for you if you: Tend to scar with raised or thickened marks (keloids), have an active skin condition like psoriasis, eczema, or an infection on your scalp, have a bleeding or clotting disorder, are currently going through chemotherapy or radiation, are pregnant or breastfeeding, have a known allergy to tattoo pigments, or have an active or changing case of hair loss like alopecia areata (best to wait until it's stable before booking). If any of these apply to you, mention it during your consultation — your provider can walk you through whether SMP is still a fit.
